- Produce detailed documentation, mentor colleagues on concepts related to low-latency and high-performance computing, and provide off-hours on-call support when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in fintech environments, including at least 3 years supporting low-latency trading systems and scalable infrastructures.
- Extensive Linux systems engineering knowledge encompassing performance tuning, low-latency networking techniques, Solarflare OpenOnload, multicast protocols, cgroups/cpusets, kernel parameter tuning, and BIOS-level optimizations.
- Practical experience with enterprise server hardware platforms, VMware ESXi/vCenter virtualization, networking fundamentals, DNS, and time synchronization methods such as NTP, PTP, PPS, and WR.
- Experience working with NVIDIA GPU and CUDA technologies applied to Linux infrastructure and latency-sensitive workloads.
- Usage of AI assistants for daily engineering tasks including troubleshooting, programming/scripting, terminal operations, and automating processes.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Bash scripting, with experience in Ansible for configuration management; familiarity with Chef, Puppet, and Terraform is advantageous.
- Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot multilayer technology stacks, coordinate cross-team production changes, maintain precise operational documentation, and work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar field or equivalent professional experience; certifications like RHCE, exposure to cloud platforms, and experience integrating Windows and Linux systems are beneficial.
