Lighting Sales Engineer

Job Overview

This position focuses on the sales and marketing of diverse lighting products tailored for both project-based clients and individual customers. The role requires proactive lead generation, market expansion efforts, and ensuring client satisfaction through quality service and product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sales through self-generated leads from clients, contractors, and end users.
• Identify and cultivate new growth areas to enhance the company’s market presence in Qatar.
• Apply strategic forecasting to gauge customer interests and establish competitive advantages.
• Establish new professional connections within Qatar to secure additional business opportunities.
• Manage lighting projects efficiently to positively impact company revenues.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting expectations across product quality, service, price, and delivery.
• Drive revenue growth by securing and executing strategic lighting projects locally.
• Perform sales activities both in the showroom and externally to achieve targets.
• Enhance technical skills including performing accurate lux calculations using DiaLux and AutoCAD.
• Prepare and present quotations, technical proposals, material submittals, and coordinate sample arrangements.
• Engage in communication and relationship building with local contractors and consultants to discover new opportunities.
• Liaise with international lighting manufacturers to source competitively priced products.
• Provide regular weekly and monthly reports detailing activities, achievements, and forward-looking business plans.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the lighting industry.
• Proficiency in lighting calculation software such as Dialux and/or Relux.
• Skilled in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective email communication skills.

• Valid driving license is mandatory.
