Lift/Elevator Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Lift Technician to handle installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transport systems. The candidate must have strong expertise in electrical and mechanical systems to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, adhering to company and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and hand over elevators, escalators, moving walkways, and related equipment.
• Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to guarantee safe and efficient operation.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults in elevator systems.
• Repair or replace faulty components including controllers, motors, drives, brakes, door operators, sensors, switches, ropes, and control panels.
• Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns and restore equipment within stipulated timeframes.
• Conduct routine inspections to spot potential problems and suggest necessary corrections before failures.
• Verify that all elevators comply with statutory laws, safety codes, and internal quality standards.
• Perform functional and safety testing as well as commissioning prior to equipment handover.
• Keep detailed service logs, maintenance records, inspection checklists, and breakdown reports up to date.
• Utilize proper tools, testing devices, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while strictly following safety protocols.
• Collaborate closely with customers, site engineers, supervisors, and project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
