Role Overview

As a Lifestyle Coordinator based in Corowa, you will be responsible for leading engaging, resident-centered lifestyle programs that enhance wellbeing and add joy to daily life. This full-time position involves designing and delivering vibrant leisure and recreational activities that cater to the social, emotional, physical, cultural, and spiritual needs of residents. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to create meaningful opportunities fostering choice, connection, and personal fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate resident-focused leisure programs that support psychological, emotional, physical, spiritual, social, and cultural wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the wider interdisciplinary team to deliver leisure activities that boost residents' self-esteem and personal satisfaction.
• Lead and mentor Leisure and Lifestyle staff to provide compassionate, high-quality, person-centered care.
• Monitor, assess, and evaluate programs continuously to ensure they are impactful and align with residents' needs, proposing improvements as necessary.
• Support the Leisure and Lifestyle Department in compliance with accreditation standards and requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (mandatory).
• Qualifications in Diversional Therapy and/or aged care specific certifications are preferred.
• Proven experience delivering leisure and lifestyle services within aged care settings.
• Solid knowledge of best practices associated with diversional therapy and leisure & lifestyle service delivery.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to conduct leisure-based assessments and develop care plans tailored to individual residents.
• A working understanding of Aged Care Standards and the accreditation process.
• Comprehensive awareness of applicable laws, regulations, codes of practice, and charters relevant to aged care.
