About the Role
This lifeguard position is based at Manning Aquatic & Leisure Centre in Taree, NSW 2430, where you will play a vital role in ensuring water safety and managing day-to-day pool operations. The job involves maintaining safety standards in and around the pool, creating a welcoming and secure environment for all guests. This position offers varied shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends, contributing to a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pool activities to ensure safety and adherence to health regulations.
- Lead and coach team members in safety and operational procedures.
- Maintain safe, clean, and enjoyable aquatic environments for patrons.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse range of students and visitors with varying ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
Candidate Requirements
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate and CPR Certificate (Level 2 First Aid).
- National Police Check and valid Working with Vulnerable People clearance.
- Strong verbal communication skills and understanding of occupational health and safety relevant to pool facilities.
- Reliable availability for shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays especially during peak seasons.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Previous lifeguarding experience or Pool Operations Certificate is advantageous but not mandatory.
Development & Support
If you are passionate about becoming a lifeguard but lack formal qualifications, the company offers support through their Belgravia Academy to obtain necessary certifications upon application with an expressed interest.
