Library Assistant

Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and well-organized Library Assistant to support the daily functions of our school library at GEMS Education in Fujairah. This role involves assisting both students and staff with library services, managing resources, handling book loans, and fostering an inviting environment for learning.

Primary Responsibilities

• Facilitate the issuing and returning process of library materials.
• Maintain organization and accuracy of library resources and documentation.
• Assist students and faculty in finding necessary information and resources.
• Encourage reading culture and help coordinate library-related events and activities.
• Keep the library environment neat, adequately supplied, and welcoming for all users.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent credential.
• Preferably has prior exposure to library, academic, or administrative duties.
• Strong skills in organization and communication.
• Proficiency in IT and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to collaborate effectively with students and educational staff.
