Level 1 Gardener – Canberra

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Level 1 Gardener to join our team based in Canberra, ACT. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about outdoor work who take pride in maintaining neat and orderly grounds. It offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with stable, ongoing hours from Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.

Primary Duties

• Perform routine lawn care including mowing, edging, and general maintenance.
• Execute weeding, mulching, and fundamental garden upkeep tasks.
• Handle tools and equipment responsibly, ensuring their safe use and proper maintenance.
• Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety protocols at all times.

Candidate Requirements

• Must have a current Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) check or be willing to obtain one prior to starting.
• Physically fit to carry out manual outdoor labor efficiently.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and capability to work independently or within a small team.
• Possess previous hands-on experience in gardening or groundskeeping roles.
• Hold mandatory certifications including a white card, as well as Silica and asbestos training.
