About the Role

SmartChoice International GCC, a prominent technology company based in Dubai, seeks a seasoned Legal Advisor to join its leadership cadre. This pivotal position involves delivering expert legal counsel and managing risk across diverse business operations to support strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and manage commercial contracts ensuring the organization's legal interests are safeguarded.
• Offer insightful legal and regulatory guidance to senior leadership, facilitating informed strategic decisions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance and governance frameworks applicable throughout company operations.
• Identify legal risks proactively and propose effective mitigation plans.
• Work collaboratively with departments such as Finance, Human Resources, and Operations to synchronize legal and business goals.
• Stay updated with legislative evolutions and evaluate their implications on corporate policies and procedures.
• Provide mentorship and support to junior legal team members.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of eight years’ professional experience in corporate or commercial law, ideally in multinational corporations or the technology sector.
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law and be licensed or qualified to practice law within the UAE.
• Possess comprehensive understanding of UAE and regional legal frameworks, capable of delivering pragmatic business-oriented legal advice.
• Proficient in Arabic, with strong verbal and written skills.
