Overview

The Refined Luxury seeks a proficient Leather Restoration Technician for its workshop in Dubai. The company specializes in expert cleaning and restoration of luxury leather items including handbags, shoes, and exotic skins.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional cleaning and conditioning of leather goods.
• Restore leather colors including recolouring and precise color matching through mixing.
• Prepare and apply leather dyes, paints, and finishing products.
• Repair faded, scratched, stained, and worn leather surfaces.
• Handle cleaning and restoration of exotic leathers such as crocodile, alligator, python, and delicate skins.
• Restore edges, corners, and surface areas.
• Identify various leather types and finishes to determine appropriate treatments.
• Prepare leather items prior to restoration work ensuring high-quality final appearance.
• Keep the workshop clean, orderly, and professional.
• Assess condition of luxury leather items before performing treatments.
• Document restoration results with before-and-after photographs.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience in leather restoration or repair.
• Strong skills in color matching and mixing for leather products.
• Hands-on experience using leather paints, dyes, and restoration materials.
• Practical knowledge working with exotic skins.
• Exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Deep understanding of leather varieties and finish treatments.
• Steady hand and capability to produce fine work independently to high standards.
• Experience with luxury handbags or footwear is highly desirable.

Preferred Advantages

• Experience working with leading luxury brands like Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, Prada, or similar.
• Skills in airbrush or spray application and leather color formulation.

Additional Details

This is a full-time, onsite position located in Dubai. Candidates are expected to bring a portfolio or photographic examples of their previous leather restoration work.
