Learning And Development Specialist

Role Overview

The main responsibility is to complete and maintain production training, while providing support to Environmental Health & Safety, Quality, and other departments to guarantee all mandatory training is fulfilled.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and refine training curricula, courses, and programs aligning with company policies, industry standards, and applicable laws.
• Identify deficiencies in production training and devise plans to remedy them.
• Facilitate impactful classroom and practical on-the-job training sessions.
• Perform training needs analysis to determine the optimal learning solutions fitting business needs.
• Measure and report on training effectiveness, spotting areas for enhancement in programs.
• Develop training budgets and prepare funding applications for government entities.
• Provide management with transparent and detailed training progress reports.
• Promote a strong learning culture across business units through teamwork.
• Incorporate emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and DeepHow tools to advance training delivery methods.
• Assist in succession planning and employee growth initiatives.
• Forge collaborative relationships widely across the organization.

Candidate Requirements

• A relevant professional qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior experience working in manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Proven history of developing and delivering training programs within a learning and development context.
• Familiarity with digital learning platforms, particularly DeepHow, is a plus.
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and knowledge of SharePoint.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving talents.
• Capability to engage stakeholders at all hierarchy levels, driving a unified training approach.
• Strong team collaboration skills and a commitment to collective success.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring individuals.
• Flexible attitude including willingness to travel if needed.
