Role Overview

We seek a Lead Software Engineer to join our Core Product Development team in Chennai. This role focuses on architecting, designing, and building high-performance Java and microservices-based software solutions. Besides coding, you'll drive crucial architectural choices, mentor development teams, and occasionally serve as Scrum Master to facilitate agile sprints.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design efforts for scalable microservices systems.
• Engage in full software development lifecycle from requirements to system testing.
• Maintain and enhance core product codebases and features.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects, and engineering leads to refine and deliver features.
• Take on Scrum Master duties to ensure efficient sprint planning and execution.
• Maintain transparent communication on tasks, progress, and technical challenges.

Required Skills and Experience

• 6 to 8 years' experience in software engineering within product-driven SaaS environments.
• Proficiency in Java with expertise in J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Strong track record in developing and migrating monolithic systems to microservices architectures.
• Deep understanding of Web Services including SOAP and REST APIs as well as data integration patterns.
• Solid relational database skills; familiarity with NoSQL is advantageous.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Experience with modern frontend JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or ReactJS.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS technologies.
