Role Summary

Serving on the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls Data Management team, you will architect and enforce secure data management frameworks within public cloud environments. Your responsibilities include safeguarding data, performing thorough security assessments, and implementing strong control mechanisms. Collaboration with data protection and governance specialists will be essential to promote a culture of security excellence and innovation, directly influencing the robustness of cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation and continual enhancement of information risk and control strategies related to Data & AI/ML services in public cloud contexts.
• Lead comprehensive, risk-oriented evaluations of technology controls encompassing Data & AI/ML cloud platforms and architectures.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to business tech teams on control mandates and best practices across varying cloud ecosystems.
• Analyze and critique infrastructure-as-code outputs for cloud platform projects ensuring security standards compliance.
• Produce and update documentation supporting security agendas and participate in agile processes linked to these initiatives.
• Work closely with security departments to facilitate integration with operations, threat intelligence, identity access management, and network security.
• Mentor junior engineers and actively participate in team knowledge dissemination activities.

Candidate Profile - Required Skills and Experience

• Proven hands-on expertise with cloud security principles and best practices, encompassing IAM, encryption techniques, network security, and logging.
• Solid practical experience specifically using AWS with a security focus.
• Interest and familiarity with Data Analytics and AI/ML domains, including knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Strong analytical thinking, effective problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Certifications in AWS Security Specialty, Solutions Architect Professional/Associate, or AWS Data Engineer Associate are beneficial.
• Direct exposure to cloud engineering, architectural design, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile frameworks.
• A track record of mentoring or training junior team members.
• Working knowledge of SaaS data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks.
