Job description
Role Overview
As the Lead for Retail Media Business Development at FairPrice Group, you will drive commercial success and be a pivotal figure in our Retail Media Network (RMN). This leadership position requires an experienced professional who excels beyond selling advertising space, focusing instead on delivering measurable business outcomes by leveraging first-party retailer data. You will craft regional sales strategies and foster strong partnerships with leading FMCG/CPG brands and their agency partners.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic revenue plans, including territory allocation, category focus, and forecasting annual sales.
- Engage in consultative selling approaches, emphasizing return on ad spend (ROAS), incremental ROAS (iROAS), and customer lifetime value (CLV) with brand stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate the value of linking digital advertising to point-of-sale data both online and offline to highlight closed-loop measurement benefits.
- Manage relationships with agency ecosystems, including holding company commerce leads and investment heads, to secure continuous budgets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business operations and product teams to incorporate sales insights into the RMN product roadmap.
- Lead negotiations and implementation of multi-year Joint Business Plans that align offerings with clients’ product launches and peak seasons.
- Represent the organization at industry events as a thought leader shaping the future of cookieless, data-driven marketing.
- Coach and develop senior account managers to enhance complex sales closure and narrative-building skills.
Qualifications
- Possess 10–15 years of digital sales experience primarily on the publisher side, including leadership roles.
- Have at least 3 years focused on Retail Media, E-commerce, or data-driven performance marketing.
- Possess an extensive network of senior-level contacts at major CPG/FMCG brands, including CMOs and VPs.
