Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Quantity Estimator with 5 to 8 years in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) estimation for our Bangalore office. This position requires expertise in Bluebeam and Planswift software along with strong knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit. The role involves overseeing quantity take-offs, cost estimation, project evaluations, and leading coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure precise project execution and cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for MEP services including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
• Utilize industry-standard estimation software to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and related expenses.
• Develop cost comparison reports identifying potential savings opportunities.
• Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documents to understand scope and identify inconsistencies or design challenges.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to align on project needs and objectives.
• Participate in pre-bid and project planning meetings to clarify goals and constraints.
• Prepare detailed estimation reports and maintain organized documentation for audits and future reference.
• Stay informed on market trends, pricing updates, and technological improvements in MEP systems.
• Build and maintain supplier and contractor relationships to gather current pricing and availability data.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in MEP quantity estimation within the construction industry.
• Proficient with Bluebeam, Planswift, AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP estimation software tools.
• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Excellent organizational abilities, able to manage multiple ongoing projects and deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.

Additional Information

The role follows a rotational shift pattern between 6 AM to 3 PM and 3 PM to 12 AM at the Banaswadi, Bangalore office. Candidates must be ready to engage actively in a dynamic work schedule.
