About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Estimator to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Dubai. This role requires preparing precise cost evaluations for building construction projects by reviewing drawings and specifications, analyzing project needs, and generating detailed quantity take-offs along with cost breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine tender documentation, drawings, and project scope to produce accurate material quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities via internal systems.
• Create competitive cost estimates encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services while identifying value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs and efficiency.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to request pricing, collect technical information, compare quotations, and support procurement decisions ensuring alignment with project demands.
• Interpret main contract and subcontract terms, draft agreements and purchase orders, maintaining adherence to company standards.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with vendors and subcontractors to align with budgets, project timelines, and procurement strategies.
• Prepare monthly progress claims, scrutinize subcontractor/vendor invoices, and evaluate variation claims to ensure contract compliance and financial accuracy.
• Collaborate internally for tender submissions, synchronize technical and commercial data, conduct comprehensive handovers to project teams post-award, and maintain organized records of all estimates.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline; professional certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimation roles within civil construction, preferably in Dubai or the broader Middle East.
• Proficient in use of estimation and quantity take-off software such as PlanSwift CCS, BuildSoft, Candy, and Excel spreadsheets.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and specifications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction materials, techniques, local market pricing, and supplier and subcontractor sourcing within the UAE.
• Understanding of tendering processes and contract forms, including lump sum and remeasure contracts.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with keen attention to detail and precise execution.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills suited for working in multidisciplinary project environments and engaging external stakeholders.
• Able to manage multiple simultaneous tenders and deadlines within a demanding project environment.
