We are currently looking for a seasoned Lead Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and operational transition of large-scale, intricate projects. The ideal candidate will have successfully managed at least two complete project lifecycles—from initial business case creation through execution, Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer/Acceptance (ORAT), to ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Steer complex projects from conception and business case formulation to operational handover and sustained operation.
- Ensure projects meet safety standards, timelines, scopes, and budgetary constraints.
- Provide strategic oversight and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and define success benchmarks.
- Create, update, and control detailed project schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and reporting methods.
- Track project progress against milestones and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders across various project interfaces.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory bodies, and senior executives.
- Lead project governance forums, steering committees, and prepare executive-level reports.
- Identify risks and issues proactively, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Develop contingency and recovery plans to secure project success.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Mentor project managers and team members, promoting a culture of excellence and ongoing development.
- Ensure all deliverables comply with quality, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Oversee ORAT preparation to guarantee smooth operational handover.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Engineering degree, or equivalent qualification.
- Possession of PMP, PRINCE2, PMI Construction Professional, or a similar project management certification.
- 10 to 15 years of comprehensive project management experience.
- Proven track record managing complex projects valued at USD 50 million to over 100 million (or equivalent).
- Experience handling multiple stakeholders, interfaces, and cross-functional teams.
- Completion of at least two full project lifecycles, including business case development, ORAT, and operational transition.
- 7 to 10 years relevant experience in airport, operational live environments, or major infrastructure projects.
- Preferably prior experience within the Middle East region.
- Expertise in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, and BIM platforms.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-moving setting.
