Cost Manager (MEP) - Data Centre

Key Responsibilities

• Manage both pre-contract and post-contract cost control functions for MEP scopes, including cost estimation, planning, procurement, tendering, contract management, handling variations, change management, and closing final accounts.
• Develop and maintain detailed MEP cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans across various project stages.
• Engage with design teams to ensure that MEP designs are financially feasible and aligned with the project’s budget goals.
• Oversee procurement activities for MEP works, encompassing tender document preparation, tender analysis, bid evaluation, and contract award recommendations.
• Deliver rigorous cost control, accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial advice throughout the Data Centre project lifespan.
• Evaluate and manage contract variations, claims, and change requests, ensuring appropriate valuations and impact assessments on costs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Have 5 to 15 years of postgraduate experience in the industry.
• Demonstrated expertise managing MEP cost elements on large-scale buildings, mission-critical facilities, or Data Centre projects.
• Professional qualifications such as MRICS membership are considered beneficial.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
