Role Overview

This pioneering role involves leading the organization-wide AI transformation with a focus on the developer platform as the central hub. The aim is to define and evolve the agentic engineering stack and enhance the experience for developers and AI agents at Scribd. The role involves close collaboration with various departments—Product, Design & Research, Data & Analytics, and Technical Program Management—to redesign workflows and internal tools with AI at their core.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own a cohesive, prioritized AI enablement roadmap, aligning various internal AI initiatives and defining shared vs. function-specific infrastructure.
• Serve as the product lead for internal app and agent platforms, shaping strategy to meet functional needs and collaborating with engineering teams that build the core backend capabilities.
• Act as a liaison across departments to understand workflow redesign goals and translate these into actionable requirements while making platform capabilities accessible.
• Ensure cross-functional coordination on key shared AI infrastructure components to maintain progress and cohesion between teams.
• Define and track key metrics such as adoption rates, throughput, time saved, evaluation quality, and overall impact, and effectively communicate this to stakeholders.
• Lead the planning and execution of internal rollouts, user education, and feedback loops to ensure robust adoption and integration of new AI capabilities.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of product management experience, particularly in developer tools, AI platforms, or internal productivity solutions.
• Proven ability to manage complex, ambiguous, cross-functional projects end-to-end with no existing playbook.
• Practical experience shipping products leveraging modern AI and large language model technologies such as prompting, evaluations, agentic workflows, and plugin ecosystems.
• Strong technical comprehension to engage effectively with engineering teams on system design, APIs, agent systems, and evaluation methods.
• Evidence of being a trusted strategic partner to engineering leadership with influence on architecture and roadmap decisions.
• Exceptional communication abilities adaptable to technical deep-dives, strategic discussions, and executive presentations.
• Ability to advance initiatives in fast-evolving environments with shifting priorities, scope, and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background including engineering, technical program management, or applied AI, with experience in production code shipping.
• Experience in building internal developer platforms, AI platforms, or productivity products at scale as a PM, technical lead, or founder.
• Hands-on familiarity with agentic coding environments such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor as a power user or builder.
• Knowledge of multi-product subscription businesses and technology stacks including Ruby, Go, TypeScript, Python, AWS, and Databricks.
• Experience establishing new functions or PM roles within organizations.

Compensation and Location

Salary ranges are based on local labor markets with a competitive equity component and comprehensive benefits. For Canada (Ottawa location), the expected salary range is CAD 179,000 to CAD 228,000. Work Locations

Applicants must reside or be willing to reside near specified metro areas in the United States, Canada (Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver), or Mexico City. This particular role is onsite in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
