Lead Oracle APEX Programmer

About the Role

KalSoft seeks a Lead Oracle APEX Programmer to spearhead technical aspects of Oracle APEX solutions. This position involves overseeing solution architecture, guiding development teams, performing code reviews, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, maintainable systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Oracle APEX applications with a focus on architecture and best practices.
• Review and enforce coding standards and maintain code quality through rigorous reviews.
• Support and mentor development teams by providing expert technical guidance.
• Guarantee robustness and maintainability of production Oracle APEX solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a similar technical discipline.
• Over 10 years of Oracle development experience, including a minimum of 6 years working hands-on with Oracle APEX.
• Recent involvement in projects utilizing Oracle APEX version 22.x or newer.
• Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL, including expertise in packages, performance tuning, bulk data processing, and dynamic SQL generation.
• Proficient in ORDS/REST API development and integration.
• In-depth understanding of APEX security frameworks, including authentication, authorization, Active Directory, and Single Sign-On implementations.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams of three or more developers across at least two live Oracle APEX systems.
• Holds at least one Oracle certification focused on APEX or PL/SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building bilingual or right-to-left (RTL) Oracle APEX applications.
• Familiarity with integrating Artificial Intelligence or external APIs into Oracle APEX solutions.
• Knowledge of version control with Git and implementing continuous integration workflows.
