Data Scientist - AI & Advanced Analytics

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Data Scientist specializing in Artificial Intelligence and advanced analytics to create and implement Machine Learning, AI, Predictive Analytics, and Generative AI solutions tailored for business applications. This role demands expertise in analyzing both structured and unstructured data, building scalable AI models and data workflows, extracting actionable insights, and ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory frameworks within the banking and financial services domain.

Key Duties

• Create, deploy, and sustain AI and Machine Learning models addressing business challenges.
• Analyze diverse datasets to produce insights and strategic business recommendations.
• Engage with business and technical teams to identify needs and deliver insightful data solutions.
• Design and manage data pipelines, feature engineering, and mechanisms to monitor model health.
• Develop predictive analytic solutions focused on customer behavior, risk assessment, and operations.
• Implement projects involving Generative AI, Large Language Models, NLP, and other advanced analytics technologies.
• Interpret complex datasets and communicate findings to inform business decisions.
• Continuously monitor and enhance model performance, scalability, accuracy, and reliability.
• Ensure adherence of AI/ML models to governance, risk management, regulatory, and compliance standards.
• Present actionable insights and analytic results to senior business stakeholders and executives.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver robust, scalable production AI applications.

Candidate Requirements

• Seven to ten years of relevant experience in Data Science, AI, ML, or similar disciplines.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling techniques.
• Practical experience with Large Language Models, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Demonstrated expertise in predictive analytics and sophisticated data-driven solutions.
• Hands-on exposure within the banking or financial services industry is mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of AI governance, risk management concerning models, compliance, and regulatory mandates.
• Proven experience developing and rolling out scalable AI/ML models and data processing pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability combined with effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Capability to translate complex technical results into understandable business implications.
• Experience liaising with senior management and executive-level stakeholders is an asset.
• Proficiency in Arabic language is required.
