Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to oversee the design and development of robust, scalable enterprise applications. This full-time role is based in Bengaluru and requires a seasoned professional capable of driving high-performance solutions across the software lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, coding, and deployment of scalable Java applications utilizing Spring Boot frameworks.
- Construct microservices architectures and create RESTful APIs to support modular application design.
- Design event-driven systems leveraging Apache Kafka for efficient asynchronous communication.
- Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment and troubleshooting tasks.
- Implement behavior-driven development with Cucumber, ensuring robust automated testing coverage.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, code reviews, and enforcing coding best practices.
- Explore and integrate AI and Generative AI technologies to enhance applications and streamline developer workflows.
- Address complex technical challenges, optimizing for scalability, reliability, and high performance.
Required Expertise
- Over 12 years of professional experience in Java development with leadership roles.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices design and implementation.
- Deep experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven system architectures.
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for managing containerized applications.
- Expertise in using Cucumber and BDD testing methodologies for automated test automation.
- Familiarity with integrating AI and Generative AI capabilities within enterprise software.
- Strong command of REST API development, design patterns, coding standards, and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing cloud-native applications and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum software development methodologies.
- A track record of mentoring teams and leading projects through full delivery cycles.
