Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our outcome data team. This role involves critically analyzing third-party consumer, business, panel, and outcome datasets to convert validated data into actionable features for a household-level intelligence model that supports audience targeting and measurement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess third-party outcome, panel, and video data by comparing it to actual samples, evaluating match rates, label accuracy, geographic distribution, bot detection, deduplication, and viewership accuracy.
• Design and execute match-rate tests to independently confirm provider-reported statistics, utilizing deterministic and probabilistic matching techniques.
• Translate various provider-specific data schemas into a unified feature taxonomy.
• Create feature definitions and implement data quality controls for a feature repository that underpins a household embedding model with approximately 100 features.
• Maintain detailed documentation of data quality findings in a standardized scorecard format, ensuring reproducibility and transparency.
• Detect privacy and consent issues in third-party data, such as unclear permissions for machine learning training, and escalate these concerns to the legal team.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to establish validated data schemas delivered by each pipeline.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to both technical teams and business stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Over six years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, particularly in adtech, martech, data brokerage, or programmatic/real-time platforms.
• Strong statistical analysis abilities applied to sample and panel data, including match-rate testing, deduplication, bot detection, and geographic distribution (DMA-level).
• Proficient in Python (particularly pandas, scikit-learn, or equivalent libraries) and SQL.
• Good understanding of identity resolution concepts such as hashed personally identifiable information (PII), deterministic and probabilistic matching, and familiarity with MAID, HEM, and household ID frameworks.
• Experience integrating diverse datasets, including third-party consumer and business data.
• Competence in evaluating third-party or panel data quality by reviewing data dictionaries, performing sample audits, verifying provenance, and conducting overlap assessments.
• Expertise in feature engineering for machine learning and embedding applications.
• Ability to convey complex quantitative results in clear, accessible language to non-technical audiences.

Additional Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with feature stores or embedding-based household or customer representations.
• Exposure to marketing, media measurement, telecom, or advertising audience data domains.
• Familiarity with data clean-room environments such as Snowflake Data Clean Rooms, LiveRamp, Habu, or InfoSum.
• Experience with cloud data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
• Basic understanding of CCPA and consent frameworks sufficient to identify compliance gaps.
