Job Overview
Keeta is looking to recruit a skilled and knowledgeable Legal Counsel to become part of our legal department. This position requires supporting the company's business operations in multiple GCC nations, focusing primarily on Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, handling corporate, advisory, contractual, and dispute resolution issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed legal research and offer thorough advice on transactions and commercial concerns while identifying potential legal risks and formulating mitigation plans.
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
- Collaborate closely with management and operational teams to ensure compliance with legal obligations.
- Assist business units in liaising with regulatory authorities, industry bodies, and external stakeholders to foster a favorable regulatory climate across the GCC.
- Act as the company's representative in legal disputes, litigation, and negotiations.
- Keep informed of evolving legal frameworks and sector trends.
- Build and maintain a qualified network of external law firms and legal service providers.
- Be willing to undertake business travel to Bahrain and other GCC states as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in law.
- At least 5 years of pertinent legal experience within GCC jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in Arabic (native or fluent) and fluent English, including both verbal and written communication.
- Strong grasp of corporate, contract, and commercial law.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, problem-solving aptitude, and communication skills.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
- Proven experience managing complex legal projects under tight deadlines.
Preferred But Not Mandatory
- Experience dealing with legal issues specific to Bahrain.
- Diverse career exposure including law firms, internal corporate legal departments, government agencies, or judicial bodies such as courts or prosecution offices.
- Education experience abroad in an English-speaking country.
- Background working with or advising multinational corporations.
