Job Overview
The Lead Auto Technician will manage both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks for vehicles and machines, including specialized airfield maintenance equipment such as the Track Jet rubber removal system, pavement marking devices, friction testing equipment, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) collectors, runway sweepers, industrial forklifts, and skid loaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead usage and maintain the accuracy of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for MATAR FM MT assets.
- Supervise planned and corrective maintenance for mechanical and electrical systems across all vehicles and equipment in accordance with corporate policies.
- Troubleshoot faults across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems using diagnostic tools.
- Conduct daily inspections of heavy machinery including excavators, mobile elevated working platforms (MEWPS), and backhoes to ensure operational safety and compliance.
- Manage and track preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) work orders along with non-maintenance tasks using Oracle software adhering to standard operating procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of three years relevant work experience.
- Vocational, tertiary, or trade certification relevant to the automotive or mechanical field is essential.
- Experience in computer-based diagnostics and ability to interpret electrical circuitry and schematic diagrams.
