Magna AI is seeking a seasoned Accounting Lead to manage the accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of precise, on-time, and IFRS-compliant financial statements. This position demands a robust technical accounting background paired with practical experience in financial consolidation, accounting policies, audit liaison, and handling intricate accounting issues. This pivotal role requires building and enhancing scalable accounting frameworks to support growth instead of merely maintaining existing processes.

About the Role

The Accounting Lead will supervise all accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate month-end and year-end closings. They will take charge of producing IFRS-compliant statutory and management financial statements, analyze complex transactions to determine correct accounting treatments, and establish thorough accounting policies and procedures aligned with IFRS and Saudi regulations. The role involves preparing technical accounting position papers, tracking IFRS changes and their implications, managing group financial consolidation across multiple entities including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, and supporting the preparation of consolidated financial disclosures and schedules.

Additionally, the lead will coordinate with external auditors to resolve audit queries and manage technical accounting issues. They will spearhead improvements in accounting processes, controls, reporting, and systems, aiming for automation where possible. Providing expert technical guidance and coaching to team members is essential to fostering a scalable, efficient accounting function. Collaboration with finance and other departments to consider accounting impacts on business decisions and transactions is also required.

Qualifications

• Between 7 and 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, and financial reporting.
• Possession of ACCA or CPA certification.
• Experience at a Big 4 audit firm is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS with a track record of applying standards to complex transactions.
• Demonstrated expertise in group consolidation, intercompany accounting, and consolidated statement preparation.
• Proven abilities in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.
• Experience managing external auditors and resolving related technical challenges.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar fields.
• Residency in Saudi Arabia is required, with preference for candidates based in Riyadh.
