Job Overview

This full-time position based in Colombo requires Laundrymen to handle all laundry-related tasks on-site, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and organizing linens and uniforms while ensuring adherence to safety, hygiene, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collecting, sorting, and preparing various washable items by type, color, and care instructions.
• Operating washing machines, dryers, irons, and pressing equipment efficiently and safely.
• Inspecting items for stains or damage and applying appropriate stain-removal methods.
• Folding, organizing and storing cleaned items to maintain a tidy laundry area.
• Reporting any damaged items or shortages to supervisors promptly.
• Maintaining laundry equipment and adhering to safety and hygiene protocols.
• Supporting overall cleanliness in the facility’s laundry section.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in operating and caring for laundry machinery with strict attention to safety.
• Ability to sort laundry and treat stains while respecting fabric care labels and company policies.
• Detail-oriented approach to quality checks and inventory management of linens and uniforms.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift loads safely, and perform repetitive duties.
• Basic organizational and time-management skills to adhere to cleaning schedules and work collaboratively.
• Commitment to hygiene, safety, and following verbal and written instructions.
• Previous experience in laundry services or related areas is beneficial but not necessary.
• Clear communication skills and professional conduct when interacting with colleagues and supervisors.
