Laundry Worker

Role Overview

Become a Laundry Worker at Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) in Belmont, WV, and contribute to ensuring clean and available linens and clothing within a long-term care facility. This role focuses on supporting the health and community wellbeing by maintaining high standards for laundry services.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, wash, dry, fold, and deliver linens and personal garments efficiently and safely.
• Operate laundry machines while adhering to safety protocols.
• Keep accurate logs of laundry operations and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to infection control and universal precaution policies to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Engage courteously and helpfully with residents, staff, and visitors, ensuring positive customer service experiences.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in laundry operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Maintain a positive demeanor and communicate effectively with building users and HCSG leadership to accomplish daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policy is mandatory.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds and to stand, sit, bend, or walk for long durations.
• Capability to work safely around cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform repetitive duties consistently.
• Must reside within the local service area.
