Job Overview

Rixos Al Mairid is looking for an organized and detail-focused Laundry Supervisor to manage the daily laundry operations. This role involves leading all aspects of the laundry process—from washing and drying to ironing and distribution—ensuring that hygiene and quality standards are consistently met. The supervisor will lead attendants, enforce safety and environmental policies, and streamline workflows to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Duties

• Direct and organize the laundry team to ensure smooth and effective operations delivering high service quality.
• Supervise all laundry processes including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Oversee maintenance of laundry machinery, reporting issues promptly to engineering for repairs.
• Perform routine quality inspections to confirm linens, uniforms, and guest laundry meet company standards before distribution.
• Manage stock levels of detergents, chemicals, and supplies, ensuring proper storage and usage.
• Coordinate guest laundry and pressing services, ensuring timely handling and special requests.
• Promote eco-conscious practices by optimizing water and energy resources, reducing chemical waste, and supporting sustainable cleaning methods.
• Ensure all laundry activities comply with hygiene, safety, and infection control standards, including handling contaminated linens properly.
• Provide ongoing training to attendants on optimal practices, equipment use, safety measures, and customer service excellence.
• Collaborate with housekeeping, uniform, and linen departments to maintain coordinated operations and timely linen distribution.
• Maintain accurate documentation including maintenance logs, inventory tracking, and performance reporting.

Candidate Profile

• Completed high school education or equivalent; diplomas or certifications in hospitality or textile management considered advantageous.
• Have 2 to 4 years of experience in hotel or commercial laundry settings, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
• Possess solid knowledge of laundry chemicals, fabric care, and laundry machine operations.
• Demonstrate leadership skills with capability to train, guide, and motivate teams in a dynamic environment.
• Exhibit meticulous attention to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and product quality.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to coordinate with various departments.
• Show aptitude for resolving operational issues promptly while upholding high service standards.
