Laundry Attendant

This position involves meticulous handling, processing, and quality assurance of various garments, ensuring their pristine condition throughout the laundering cycle.

Key Duties

• Carefully manage all garment types to prevent damage, shrinkage, or color loss.
• Determine suitable laundry methods by interpreting garment care labels.
• Operate essential laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and dry-cleaners efficiently.
• Inspect items thoroughly before cleaning and note any damage or residual items.
• Coordinate timely collection and delivery of guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing as per guest preferences.
• Perform continuous quality assurance checks during washing, drying, ironing, and folding.
• Keep detailed documentation of laundry pick-up and delivery, including special guest requests.
• Prepare requisitions for laundry supplies, chemicals, stationery, and other necessities.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety in work areas, machinery, and transport carts.
• Track consumption of cleaning materials and maintain adequate stock.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least one year of practical experience in either a five-star hotel laundry or industrial laundry setting, preferably with international exposure and interaction with diverse cultural teams.
• Sound understanding of laundry chemicals, their formulations, and proper application techniques.
• Proven expertise in handling laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, and dry-cleaning apparatus.
