Laundry Attendant - Full Time

Overview

This role involves executing various laundry and housekeeping tasks to deliver high-quality laundry services and maintain a clean, sanitary nursing home environment free from unpleasant odors.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure an adequate supply of clean linen to promote resident comfort and proper care.
• Maintain linen quality by repairing or removing items with holes or stains from use.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as necessary.
• Label new residents' clothing items appropriately.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens efficiently.
• Deliver cleaned laundry to residents' rooms.
• Adhere strictly to all sanitary procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain an inventory of laundry supplies.
• Operate laundry equipment and supplies safely.
• Report any laundry equipment malfunctions to the Administrator promptly.

Qualifications and Skills

• GED or High School Diploma is required.
• One year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Ability to comprehend laundry and housekeeping instructions.
• Basic mathematical aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to seek assistance when necessary.

Physical Requirements

• Occasional lifting and moving of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, read, and hear during work.
• Frequent use of industrial washers, dryers, and related equipment.

Compensation
