Role Overview

The Laundry Attendant will play a vital role in supporting the Housekeeping Department by managing hotel linen, staff uniforms, and guest laundry to meet the high standards set by NH Collection Dubai The Palm.

Key Responsibilities

• Segment and manage laundry items including linens, uniforms, and guest clothing by washing, drying, pressing, folding, and preparing them appropriately.
• Operate laundry machines and related equipment in a safe, efficient manner according to established operational procedures.
• Conduct inspections for stains, damage, or items requiring special cleaning treatment.
• Ensure guest laundry is accurately processed and returned within stipulated timeframes.
• Uphold cleanliness and orderliness within the laundry work area and maintain the equipment properly.
• Handle laundry chemicals and detergents safely following health and safety regulations.
• Carefully manage linens and uniforms to avoid damage or wastage.
• Report any issues such as equipment malfunctions, damaged items, or other concerns promptly to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Adhere strictly to hotel hygiene, safety, environmental, and branding policies.
• Provide additional assistance to the Housekeeping team to facilitate seamless daily operations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience working in laundry operations within hospitality or hotel environments is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of laundry machinery, fabric types, detergents, and stain treatment methods.
• Strong focus on detail and organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively in basic English.
• Physical fitness to manage the demands of a fast-paced work setting.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays.
