Overview
The Laundry Attendant plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the hotel linens, handling bed linens, bathroom linens, and Food & Beverage linens through proper laundering procedures adhering to company and hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and coworkers warmly, ensuring a friendly and service-oriented approach at all times.
- Adhere strictly to hotel, brand, and company protocols for safety and efficient operation.
- Wear gloves and sort soiled linens according to type and cleaning requirements.
- Operate washers and dryers: load soiled linens, unload clean wet linens, and adjust machines for correct wash and dry cycles.
- Fold and organize clean, dry towels, washcloths, sheets, pillowcases, napkins, and tablecloths properly for storage.
- Maintain adequate laundry supplies by replenishing chemicals as needed.
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience performing related laundry or housekeeping duties.
- Physical stamina to stand or walk for up to 8 hours and lift or push items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to follow oral instructions and complete tasks within assigned schedules.
