Role Overview

As a Laundry Assistant at Braintree Mews Care Home, located in Braintree, you will assist the Head Housekeeper in delivering laundry services that support our hospitality functions, ensuring that residents receive high-quality and comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all laundry-related tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Interpret wash guide instructions and follow laundering procedures tailored for a variety of textiles and cleaning agents to maintain quality standards.
• Adhere to safe working practices, especially regarding manual handling and risk assessment, prioritizing the safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
• Engage actively in teamwork, respond cooperatively to colleagues, and comply promptly with all reasonable work directives.

Candidate Profile

• Strong understanding of laundering needs for different textile types.
• Previous experience in laundry services within similar care settings or hospitality, such as hotels.
• Positive disposition toward residents and dedication to providing compassionate laundry support.

Additional Information

• Applicants must undergo a DBS Disclosure check, which will be funded by Avery Healthcare.
