Role Overview
As a Laundry Assistant at Braintree Mews Care Home, located in Braintree, you will assist the Head Housekeeper in delivering laundry services that support our hospitality functions, ensuring that residents receive high-quality and comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all laundry-related tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Interpret wash guide instructions and follow laundering procedures tailored for a variety of textiles and cleaning agents to maintain quality standards.
- Adhere to safe working practices, especially regarding manual handling and risk assessment, prioritizing the safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
- Engage actively in teamwork, respond cooperatively to colleagues, and comply promptly with all reasonable work directives.
Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of laundering needs for different textile types.
- Previous experience in laundry services within similar care settings or hospitality, such as hotels.
- Positive disposition toward residents and dedication to providing compassionate laundry support.

Additional Information
- Applicants must undergo a DBS Disclosure check, which will be funded by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory.
