Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage of $13.65

Key Responsibilities

• Folding, sorting, and organizing clothing
• Hanging garments on racks according to specific names and numbers
• Ensuring patients' clothing is ready for use and managing repairs appropriately
• Understanding and utilizing various soaps and bleaches correctly
• Adhering to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines for chemical usage
• Operating washers and dryers to clean clothes and linens
• Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and adhering to cleaning schedules
• Sweeping and mopping laundry areas
• Emptying washers and dryers as needed
• Cleaning and disinfecting linen carts upon request
• Removing stains effectively
• Demonstrating servant leadership to enhance the organization’s image
• Participating in committees, workgroups, and projects supporting organizational goals
• Performing additional duties as necessary to support operational success

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills with associates, patients, families, and visitors, providing a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Capability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operations manuals, and procedures
• Ability to compose routine reports and correspond professionally
• Effective verbal communication with customer groups and colleagues
• Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Common sense reasoning to follow instructions provided in various formats and solve problems in standard situations
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

Physical and Other Demands

• Regular sitting and ability to talk or hear
• Frequent walking
• Use of hands and arms for handling and reaching
• Occasional standing
• Vision requirements include close and distance vision, including ability to adjust focus
