Laptop Hardware Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a Laptop Hardware Technician for our IT/Administration department in Delhi. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of practical experience diagnosing and repairing laptop hardware issues and supporting company IT assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and fix hardware problems related to laptops such as issues with motherboards, RAM, storage drives, batteries, displays, keyboards, and charging systems.
• Install, replace, and upgrade laptop hardware components to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive checks on company laptops.
• Install and set up Windows operating systems, necessary drivers, software, and system utilities.
• Keep detailed logs of laptop distributions, repairs, component replacements, and hardware inventory.
• Liaise with vendors and service centers for warranty claims and major repairs as needed.
• Ensure employee hardware issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets and related expenses.
• Offer basic technical assistance to employees concerning hardware and system queries.
• Safeguard the proper handling and upkeep of company IT assets.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or certification in Hardware & Networking, IT, or a related discipline.
• Between 1 and 3 years of relevant experience in laptop or computer hardware support roles.
• Strong understanding of laptop hardware troubleshooting and familiarity with Windows OS environments.
• Knowing fundamentals of LAN, Wi-Fi, printers, and networking is advantageous.
• Effective communication skills combined with strong problem-solving ability.
• Capable of managing multiple technical support requests simultaneously.
