Landscaper

About the Role

Scout Mechanical is seeking a reliable landscaper for the maintenance of multiple properties primarily in Greenville, SC, with additional sites located in Spartanburg and Anderson. This role involves routine groundskeeping duties, outdoor upkeep, and serving as a welcoming presence for tenants and visitors. Landscaping equipment can be provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform lawn mowing, edging, trimming of bushes and shrubs
• Blow debris from sidewalks and parking lots, weed removal, and upkeep of garden beds
• Apply mulch and pine needles; assist with seasonal cleaning tasks
• Collect trash, leaves, and other debris to maintain property cleanliness
• Conduct pressure washing and minor outdoor maintenance or repairs
• Maintain tools and landscaping equipment in clean and operational condition
• Identify and report any property damage or maintenance concerns
• Occasionally oversee and guide subcontractors performing work on-site
• Support other property maintenance activities as required

People Interaction

• Greet and communicate respectfully with business owners, tenants, customers, and visitors
• Offer assistance when appropriate
• Ensure work does not obstruct business operations, entrances, or parking
• Politely respond to inquiries and relays requests or issues to property management
• Maintain a professional representation of the company while on site

Qualifications

• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and cooperative attitude
• Ability to work independently and take pride in quality workmanship
• Proactive in identifying and addressing maintenance needs without supervision
• Possession of a valid driver’s license
• Experience operating lawn and landscaping machinery
• Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary commensurate with experience, equating to $25 to $35 per hour
