Job description

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Landscape Engineer to join a project based in Doha, Qatar. The individual will be tasked with overseeing and coordinating all landscape-related activities to ensure they align with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project needs.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of overall professional experience.
  • At least 5 years specifically in landscape-related roles.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction, infrastructure, landscaping, or development projects is preferred.
  • Experience in Qatar or the broader GCC region is considered an advantage.
  • Educational background should include a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Horticulture, or related areas (BSc, BEng, BA, or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all landscape construction and installation tasks.
  • Analyze and interpret approved landscape plans, specifications, Bills of Quantities, and other project documents.
  • Liaise and coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
  • Supervise both hardscape and softscape elements including paving, planting, irrigation systems, curbs, outdoor installations, and related works.
  • Ensure all landscaping works are performed according to approved plans and specifications.
  • Conduct material and workmanship inspections ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Manage site activities ensuring proper scheduling and sequencing of landscape work.
  • Track project progress and report any technical challenges, delays, or inconsistencies.
  • Review technical submissions such as shop drawings, materials data, method statements, and other relevant documents.
  • Collaborate closely with civil, architectural, MEP, and other engineering departments to prevent site conflicts.
  • Prepare and keep detailed records including site reports, inspection requests, and progress documentation.
  • Implement quality control procedures specific to landscape tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to safety (HSE) standards and site rules.

  • Proficient in interpreting landscape, architectural, and engineering drawings.

  • Excellent communication, report writing, and problem-solving aptitudes.
  • Effective collaboration skills with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
