Job Overview
This role demands creative and practical expertise in crafting landscape designs tailored for public spaces, commercial, and residential projects. The candidate will conceptualize, visualize, and produce detailed site plans and 3D representations using advanced CAD tools. Emphasis on sustainable landscaping is key, integrating native flora, water-saving irrigation, and eco-friendly materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Design innovative, functional landscapes enhancing various environments including urban spaces.
- Assess sites, analyzing topography, soil, climate, and ecological conditions to gauge project feasibility.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and urban planners to ensure seamless integration of landscape elements within broader infrastructure.
- Create irrigation and drainage systems focused on water efficiency and plant health.
- Develop project budgets, material estimates, and ensure financial viability.
- Navigate and comply with local zoning, environmental regulations, and permit processes.
- Supervise landscape construction, maintaining quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Engage clients and stakeholders by presenting design proposals and incorporating feedback effectively.
- Plan biodiverse green infrastructures such as green corridors and rooftop gardens to foster urban ecological health.
- Manage project schedules, resources, and costs to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Stay abreast of new landscape architecture trends, sustainable urban planning methods, and smart landscaping technologies.
- Uphold occupational health, safety, and environmental policies rigorously.
- Adhere strictly to organizational information security protocols, including preventing security breaches and maintaining data confidentiality.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
- Between 5 to 10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture, urban planning, or site development projects.
- Proficient in Advanced digital modeling software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, GIS, Lumion.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for visual communications.
- Knowledgeable in Building Information Modeling (BIM), green infrastructure, and sustainable landscaping techniques.
- Experience designing water-conserving irrigation systems, stormwater management, and xeriscaping.
- Familiarity with LEED standards and environmental regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and supervising contractors.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, adaptability, and client management skills.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with company and legal health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Complete and remain current on security awareness training and prevent disabling of firewalls or antivirus software.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper management of sensitive company information and personal user accounts.
