Role Purpose

The Landscape Architect Manager leads the planning, design, coordination, and implementation of landscape architecture projects. This position ensures that landscape designs comply with regulatory and sustainability standards while meeting project timelines and maintaining high design and technical quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead landscape architecture projects from initial concepts through construction documentation and on-site execution.
  • Create innovative and sustainable landscape design solutions consistent with project goals and local authority regulations.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure cohesive project delivery.
  • Prepare and evaluate landscape master plans, planting schemes, hardscape details, irrigation designs, and technical drawings.
  • Ensure adherence to municipal rules, environmental standards, and project specifications.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and deliverables to guarantee on-time completion.
  • Perform site inspections and monitor project progress to ensure design quality and intent.
  • Participate in client meetings, design presentations, and review sessions.
  • Assist in business development, proposal drafting, and maintaining client relationships when needed.
  • Ensure all designs align with Arada's overall project vision.
  • Support budget formulation and cost assessment activities.
  • Evaluate value engineering proposals, ensuring design intent and quality are preserved.
  • Track landscape scope modifications and analyze associated cost impacts.
  • Coordinate design interfaces between landscape architecture and infrastructure components.
  • Resolve design discrepancies and provide technical solutions during project phases.
  • Review design documents, specifications, bills of quantities, material submissions, and shop drawings.
  • Assess planting strategies, irrigation systems, hardscape materials, lighting, and site furnishings.
  • Inspect mock-ups, material samples, and site installations for compliance and quality.
  • Support project closing activities, snagging, and handover procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in landscape design software and drafting tools.
  • At least 6 to 7 years of professional experience in landscape architecture and managing projects.
  • Demonstrated experience working on UAE-based projects, with comprehensive knowledge of municipal regulations and approval requirements.
  • Experience overseeing multidisciplinary landscape projects from concept through to completion.
  • Previous involvement in residential, mixed-use, or public realm projects is advantageous.
