Land Surveyor

Overview

Building CO. (BEST) L.L.C is seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join their construction division in Sharjah Emirate, UAE. The role focuses on precise surveying duties to support building, infrastructure, and other construction projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Carry out setting-out tasks for structures, roads, utilities, and infrastructural elements.
• Establish, update, and maintain essential survey control points, benchmarks, coordinate systems, and reference elevations.
• Confirm plot boundaries, alignment grids, elevations, and dimensional accuracy based on approved plans.
• Perform topographic, leveling, and as-built surveys on site.
• Work collaboratively with Project and Site Engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to synchronize surveying needs.
• Detect and report inconsistencies between drawings, coordinate data, and actual field conditions.
• Generate detailed reports, sketches, coordinate records, level documentation, and as-built survey data.
• Ensure upkeep, protection, and correct calibration of survey tools and equipment.
• Adhere strictly to project quality, safety standards, and method statements as approved.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational background with a diploma or bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or similar disciplines.
• At least five years of practical experience in construction or infrastructure surveying.
• Experience working in the UAE or GCC construction sector is advantageous.
• Expertise in handling Total Stations, GPS/GNSS instruments, Auto Levels, and Digital Levels.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and specialized surveying software.
• Capability to interpret architectural, structural, civil, and infrastructure plans.
• Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication, team coordination, and reporting skills.
• Fluency in English.
