Position Summary
We are seeking dependable and motivated Labourers to join our production team at Linley Valley Pork. In this fast-paced processing environment, your role will be pivotal in ensuring products are safely prepared, packed, and processed according to stringent food safety, quality, and production standards. Whether you possess previous meat processing experience or are eager to acquire new skills, candidates committed to safety and continuous learning are encouraged to apply.
Working Hours and Location
Shifts operate Monday through Friday with options including day shift (4:00am - 12:30pm), afternoon shift (1:00pm - 9:30pm), and night shift (11:00pm - 7:00am). The workplace is located in Wundowie, approximately 30 minutes east of Midland, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle pork sides by moving them to and from chillers and positioning them on cutting tables.
- Operate saws and other production machinery safely and effectively.
- Lift pork quarters and large cuts appropriately.
- Transport finished product cartons, trim, and waste containers.
- Uphold food safety, hygiene practices, and meticulous housekeeping throughout the workplace.
- Properly wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all workplace health and safety (WHS) guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain quality standards.
Candidate Profile
- Physically capable of performing demanding tasks including repetitive motions, lifting, and prolonged standing.
- Demonstrates strong dedication to health and safety, hygiene, and food quality standards.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Works well within a team environment with clear communication skills in English.
- Possesses a valid driver's license and has access to reliable transportation due to the site location.
- Prior experience in meat processing, food production, or manufacturing is advantageous but not required.
