Job Overview
The Labourer role is crucial to the efficient operation of the Barrie, Ontario facility, with shifts from 12 PM to 8 PM. The role involves hands-on dismantling and recycling of vehicles, requiring both passion for automobiles and physical capability.
Primary Duties
- Safely dismantling and depolluting vehicles utilizing hand and power tools
- Preparing vehicles for resale or yard display
- Removing wheels, rims, and tires
- Cleaning, testing, and categorizing batteries destined for resale
- Organizing and sorting salvaged auto parts for inventory management
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the yard and work environment
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in general labour or a related field is preferred
- Capable of physical exertion including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Able to sustain productivity in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools is necessary
- Dependability with a willingness to acquire knowledge across various operational areas
- Comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather circumstances
