About the Role and Team
Join our HR compliance and employee relations team dedicated to ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards in human resources. The team acts as a bridge between the company and employee representative bodies, supporting compliance, enhancing communication, and safeguarding employee rights, thereby fostering a fair and transparent workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, employment legal, and HR teams to develop and execute strategic initiatives related to works councils, identifying critical themes and crafting effective communication approaches.
- Build strong partnerships and maintain communication with works councils, participate in onsite meetings, lead negotiations on various issues (such as IT updates, performance management, employee movements, and company policies), and prepare necessary documents to address employee concerns.
- Provide expert advice to business leaders and HR partners on works council and co-determination matters, manage inquiries related to labor law, and design HR compliance training programs as needed.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration by supporting global and regional HR projects related to works councils within the EMEA region.
- Handle daily operational tasks including staff movements, processing works council inquiries, organizing trainings, managing resources and expenses, and maintaining internal systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, mediation, and strategic writing abilities.
- Strong adaptability, conflict management skills, and eagerness for personal growth.
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
- Preferred: Experience with employment law or employee/industrial relations, especially involving works councils.
- Preferred: Solid understanding of industrial relations, social dialogue, and labor law trends in the EMEA region.
