Role Overview

We have an exciting new opportunity within our Distribution Testing department for a Laboratory Technician eager to enhance their expertise within a dynamic and accomplished team. The department evaluates packaged medical, food and beverage, and electronic goods to ensure they meet distribution standards and assist clients in launching products swiftly.

Additionally, the Distribution Testing team plays a key role in supporting sustainability efforts by testing packaged items to help minimize waste generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute diverse physical testing protocols, delivering accurate and punctual data.
• Inspect product packaging to identify any forms of damage.
• Utilize Excel and Word extensively to prepare test documentation and reports.
• Engage with clients through clear communication, including preparing quotes and technical reports.

Candidate Profile

• Practical experience in scientific or engineering contexts within professional environments.
• Ability to apply mathematics and physics for analyzing technical information, troubleshooting, and deriving conclusions.
• Being a cooperative team player with a systematic approach to planning, organizing, and managing personal workload effectively.
• Strong aptitude for both written and oral communication.
• Proficient in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Interest in scientific testing and comfort with a combination of laboratory and clerical tasks.
• Preferred qualifications include a minimum of A-levels or BTEC HNC in science or engineering, or substantial practical experience in quality control or technical roles. Background in maths or physics is advantageous.
