Laboratory Technician

Job Overview

As a Laboratory Technician at Healtholife Healthcare, you will handle routine laboratory testing following standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will be responsible for receiving, identifying, labeling, and processing patient samples precisely.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct tests in areas such as Biochemistry, Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Serology, depending on qualifications and laboratory needs.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments as per established guidelines and support calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure appropriate handling, storage, and disposal of samples adhering to safety and infection control protocols.
• Keep detailed records of tests, quality control measures, and sample processing activities.
• Perform internal quality checks and promptly report any irregularities.
• Coordinate with reporting, logistics, and operations teams to facilitate smooth sample transfer and timely result delivery.
• Identify and communicate abnormal, insufficient, or rejected samples following SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline within the laboratory environment.
• Engage actively in audits, quality improvements, and training initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Labridge's operational and quality standards.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: DMLT, BMLT, B.Sc. MLT, or equivalent laboratory qualification.
• Experience ranging from no prior experience to up to 5 years in pathology or diagnostic laboratory settings; freshers with the right mindset are encouraged to apply.
• Solid understanding of basic laboratory procedures and sample management.
• Capability to deliver accurate work under pressure and deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work in shift patterns as required.
• Comfortable using laboratory technologies and fundamental computer applications.
