Kitchen Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Technician to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment to ensure smooth operation in a commercial hospitality environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various kitchen appliances.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix issues in commercial kitchen machines including cooking devices, refrigeration units, and food preparation equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures to minimize downtime and restore functionality.
• Conduct routine inspections to detect potential equipment malfunctions early.
• Manage maintenance involving basic electrical, plumbing, gas, and mechanical systems associated with kitchen machinery.
• Collaborate with external service technicians for specialized repairs beyond in-house capabilities.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and spare parts consumed.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, hygiene standards, and organizational maintenance guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Technician, preferably within hotel, restaurant, or commercial kitchen settings.
• Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment operations and upkeep.
• Proficiency in identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
• Knowledge about refrigeration technology, gas systems, and plumbing is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously and react swiftly to emergency repair needs.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Qatar.
