Kitchen Stewarding Associate

Position Overview

The role involves operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors. The associate is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen and storeroom areas, tools, knives, tables, and equipment. Receiving deliveries, properly storing perishables, and managing stock rotation are integral duties.

Key Duties

• Clean dishes using detergents and sanitizers in a 3-compartment sink and inspect, stack, or re-wash items as necessary.
• Spray racked items with hot water to remove food residue and handle silverware by sorting, soaking, and washing.
• Break down dirty bus tubs, empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster areas, clean and mop assigned areas, and handle disposal of glass and recyclables including cardboard boxes.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

Follow company policies including safety and security standards, report any accidents or unsafe conditions, complete all safety training, and protect company assets. Communication should be clear and professional while fostering positive relationships to support team objectives. The role requires physical activities such as lifting objects up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, walking for long durations, and movements like bending and stooping.

Preferred Qualifications

• No requirement for a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related experience or supervisory experience necessary.
• No licenses or certifications required.
