About the Opportunity
Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is inviting an experienced Kitchen Steward to be part of its prestigious pre-opening team at a new luxury hotel set to open this year. Situated at a prime location opposite Buckingham Palace, the hotel features 100 sophisticated rooms and suites, 17,500 sqft of private residences, two signature Michelin-starred restaurants, a spa, fitness center, and grand event spaces including a ballroom for 320 guests.
Role Overview
The Kitchen Steward will be essential in ensuring the smooth operations behind the scenes by maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and food service areas. This role involves upholding safety, organizing storerooms, maintaining stewarding equipment, and supporting the culinary team to guarantee an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and maintain all kitchen, restaurant, and food preparation spaces.
- Ensure storerooms are orderly and hygienic at all times.
- Strictly adhere to health, safety, and food hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate closely with culinary staff to contribute to flawless service execution.
- Foster a disciplined, service-oriented back-of-house atmosphere.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience using cleaning chemicals professionally in hospitality settings.
- Possession of a valid food hygiene certificate (proof may be requested).
- Strong passion for operational accuracy and delivering exceptional service.
- A polished, professional attitude with a strong commitment to work ethics.
- Ability to perform effectively independently and within a team of high performers.
