The Kitchen Steward plays a vital role in the seamless functioning of our hotel's kitchen by maintaining impeccable cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene in all food preparation and service areas. This full-time, evening shift position ensures all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment remain sanitized, safe, and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen tools are washed, sanitized, and stored correctly following hotel cleanliness standards.
• Operate dishwashing equipment carefully and efficiently, handling cleaning agents responsibly.
• Maintain sanitary conditions by cleaning kitchen floors, walls, counters, and storage areas consistently.
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Support kitchen and banquet functions by supplying clean service ware during meal services.
• Assist chefs with simple food prep tasks when necessary to maintain smooth kitchen operations.

Candidate Qualifications

• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate varying shifts.
• Prior experience in cleaning, stewarding, or housekeeping roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Basic understanding of proper use and handling of cleaning chemicals, sanitation practices, and safety measures in kitchen environments.
• Dependable, detail-focused, and cooperative team player with a willingness to help wherever required.
• Physical capability to perform tasks involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and repetitive scrubbing; must be able to lift or maneuver objects up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working under high temperature and humidity conditions typical of kitchen settings, with exposure to cleaning substances and kitchen machinery.

Compensation and Additional Information

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.60
