About The Role

Join SSP UK & Ireland as a Kitchen Porter at Bird & Signet, Glasgow Airport. The pay rate is £12.85 per hour, with an additional £1.20 per hour incentive for work done between midnight and 6 AM, increasing the hourly wage to £14.05 during these hours. Working hours span from 3 AM to midnight with flexible shifts across weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and public holidays.

SSP collaborates with well-known brands such as M&S, Starbucks, Burger King, and BrewDog, serving thousands of customers daily at airports, train stations, and motorway service locations throughout the UK & Ireland. Candidate Profile

• Enjoys a workplace with a lively pace, good camaraderie, and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Prefers staying active and values a strong work ethic.
• Able to provide references covering the past 5 years and a clear Criminal Record Check.
• Must be at least 18 years old to undertake certain kitchen duties and shifts, as required by the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with simple preparation tasks and the management of waste.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes and tidying surfaces and floors.
• Help maintain kitchen and food safety standards constantly.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory as full training will be provided.
